Welcome to the Arkansas STAYing United Page! I know more and more of you are finding your way to our merry band of United Methodist Misfits. I’m glad you’ve made your way here and pray that you’ll find within our page countless reasons why we love the UMC. I don’t think anyone here is afraid to stand by what they believe and their defense of our beloved church.

I know some of our own recent attempts to work within our system has flowed from our system into your inboxes. Sooooo, I know many of you are here looking for clues of possible secret activity. While you might not be willing to take my word for it, we, here, have little interest in hiding our active defense of our church. Thus there’s no need for more paranoia. As things continue to heat up within our denomination, I believe we will hold more to Jesus’ statement that: “truth will set free!”

Here is what I know to be true of AR STAYing United: We love because we are loved. Our love of ALL our neighbors flows from our love of God. God loves the world so we love the world. We love the United Methodist Church. We are proud to be UMC. As our UMC Book of Discipline you sometimes love quoting and/or exaggerating about reminds us: “Scriptural holiness entails more than personal piety; love of God is always linked with love of neighbor, a passion for justice and renewal in the life of the world.” -¶ 102. And while it may not be easy, and it may not seem possible, we love you (though some might not always like you)!

Here WE raise OUR Ebenezer
Here by God’s great help WE’VE come
And WE hope by God’s good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home

Jesus sought US when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He to rescue US from danger
Interposed His precious blood
