When Your Parent Doesn’t Know Who You Are
Sandy Martinez Laczynski and her family were active in one of the 2.5 churches I served when fresh out of seminary. She and her husband are currently caring in amazingly loving ways for her mom. Here’s an excerpt from a longer piece she wrote yesterday, shared here with her gracious permission —
I have heard so many people be upset their parent doesn’t know who they are.
Remember this: you know who they are and that is what matters.
We have no idea what they may actually know in their mind but can’t say.
Keep visiting them.
Keep telling them you love them.
Most of all, pray for them.
