Confusion/Clarity?

May 13, 2022

Most of us have been here. And done this. Or seen this. Or heard this. At some point. In “some meeting,” to paraphrase Kenny Chesney, “somewhere.” —-

One time in a meeting, that the founder of the company was attending, a senior person was presenting a fairly important/complex topic to us.

Unfortunately, they botched the presentation and the ensuing “discussion” was so confusing, none of us were quite sure we were getting the information we needed.

Then the “handouts” came out…oh boy. what a mess.

After about 2 minutes, the founder of the company literally puts the papers down, takes a deep sigh, and says “why don’t you just tell me what my opinion should be on this.”

That’s literally from a page in one of my notebooks, sourced from, oddly enough, a guitar geek site.

So what to do?

A good place to start is with my version of a line from John Wesley: “Use the good sense God gave you.”
