First, Before
“Coffee before Talkie.”
Same place as yesterday’s here was from, same kinda wrapper.
Or, as Proverbs 17:27,28 says,
The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.
For some, “Coffee before Talkie” means to leave the other person alone until their caffeine kicks in. So stay kinda quiet.
For some others of us, it’s about knowing we might not be making much sense until our caffeine hits. So stay kinda quiet.
Either way, Proverb 17‘s restraint, understanding, and knowing when to keep silent and be discerning are all helpful.
But not always easy….
