Prayer for Grace to Labor
The things, good Lord, that we pray for, give us the grace to labor for. Amen
This prayer is also from our official United Methodist hymnal.
It comes to us all the way from England in the 16th century, written by/attributed to Thomas More.
Every time I come to that prayer, I’m struck by both its brevity and its fullness.
