Load-Bearing or Partition Walls?
With Ephesians 2:11-22 still ringing in our hearts from yesterday here, let’s get back together with David E. Rainey. He worked construction before becoming a pastor, which gives even more credence to his reminder that —
Partition walls simply divide space. They carry no weight and can be removed without any damage to the integrity of the structure. In a remodeling project, to tear down a partition wall is simply to open up and rearrange things for the sake of the people will live there.
— We get that.
But then we so easily forget that when it comes to some what we let divide us.
Let’s you and me sit with that today.
And if it makes us uncomfortable, let’s re-read Ephesians 2:11-22.
