“So Much Busyness”

March 25, 2021

“I am a college chaplain,” says Lyn Pace, “which means I see so much busyness firsthand in the lives of young adults.”

She’s an ordained elder in the South Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church.

“At our college, like most others, we boast that we have more than eighty clubs, which keep students well occupied beyond their course loads.”

She serves in Atlanta at Emory University’s Oxford College.

“Many of our students are already looking ahead to the next stop in the career journey and rarely slow down to revel in the present moment.”

She writes these observations on page 50 of The Upper Room’s Disciplines 2021.

Jesus offers us a glimpse of what it means to slow down,” she concludes.

Check out Mark 1:29-39.

See you back here tomorrow with more from her.
