From Princeton
“Read and pray daily,” wrote John Wesley.
I was part of a small group having dinner with the President of Princeton Theological Seminary. We were looking forward to his after-dinner remarks.
He began by having us go around the table and introduce ourselves and tell what we were reading.
He listened.
He asked questions.
He took notes.
He taught us.
He taught us by engaging us where we were, skillfully weaving together us and even our wildly disparate denominational backgrounds.
In the process, he encouraged us to continue to follow John Wesley’s dictum: “Read and pray daily.”
See you back here tomorrow, picking up right there…and in the meantime, I’d love to know what YOU are reading these days, so please hit me up, any of the usual methods.
And thanks in advance.
