Are You? Do You? Then What Exactly?

March 20, 2020

Are you somewhere between redemption and new creation?

Picking up where we stopped yesterday: “Christ models the transformed human being, resplendent in the fullness of what God intends redeemed humanity to be.

“Thus, we, women and men who turn toward the divine love that beckons us, gradually are remade into the unique fullness that God intends for each of us.”

So writes Wendy M. Wright in Disciplines 2020, page 82.

She connects so much in those two sentences.

Somewhere along the way, I think while studying with Presbyterians, I came to appreciate Four Seasons of Divine History— creation, fall, redemption, and new creation. They frame what Wendy M. Wright says.

Are you somewhere between redemption and new creation?

Do you sense God’s “love that beckons us” today?

Then what exactly are you doing or not doing today to participate in the process of being “remade into the unique fullness that God intends” for you?

“Serious stuff, Joe.”

Yup.
