What’s Coming Out of You? — part 7 in a series on opulence
We were alone in the kitchen, just the two of us, Martin and me.
Martin is our dog. He was asleep on the floor.
I was pouring coffee.
He suddently jumped up and started barking in a new voice. A deep rumbling explosion, erupting from somewhere in his massive Labrador chest. (Okay, so he’s only a 27 pound Labradoodle…he still sounded killer in that moment!)
I turned to see what he was barking at as he raced to the sliding glass door.
When I looked back at my coffee, it was easy to find. It was not just in my mug but taking over the kitchen counter.
Yup.
It overflowed.
Wait, I’ve read that word somewhere this past week.
That’s right —
May the God of hope
fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope
by the power of the Holy Spirit.
— Romans 15:13, New International Version
— What are you and I overflowing with today?
