Four quick tips from Men’s Health‘s October, 2109 issue, “How I Clear My Mind” by Facebook’s ad director Tim Kendall —

  1. Take your email off your phone. Take the browser off, too. You get used to being in the present.
  2. Sometimes you relapse. Like any good addict, delete and try again.
  3. Use your phone to make an actual phone call. One of the biggest root causes of tech overuse is loneliness and isolation.
  4. Managers: create gradients around urgency. Being always on leads to a highly compromised state of productivity.
