This is A Day of New Beginnings, part 4
Skipped a word recently.
Did you catch that? Neither did I.
My italicized highlights not long ago were This and be glad in it.
As in, “This is the day the Lord has made,” so “Let’s rejoice and be glad in it.”
Totally skipped over “rejoice” in Psalm 118:24.
Which is translated in the Basic English Bible and the New Living Translation as being “full of joy.” Okay, seems simple and obvious, right?
But in The Passion Translation there’s this —
This is
the very day of the Lord
that brings gladness and joy
— Let that combo platter settle in today: This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy.
And let’s us settle in with that version today: This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy.
Today comes as a gift from God.
Like all the rest of God’s grace.
Bringing with it gladness and joy.
True or False in your experience in this still-new calendar month?
I’d love to hear from you anytime, whatever way works for you.
And I hope to see you back here tomorrow.
