The Bear Summarized It Best
It’s attributed to many, and some versions are wordier than others.
ESPN’s College Game Day guy “Bear” says it succinctly —
Lose, say little.
Win, say less.
In that same light, “Let your yes be yes, and your no, no.” (James 5:12)
As was said before that, “Let your answer be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no.'” Jesus said that, in Matthew 5:37.
Let’s try that today, deal?
And may our saying less mean that we’re listening more.
