Just One

September 24, 2017

“It’s hard to be hateful when you’re grateful,” Chris Hogan said.

He was a teacher at a financial coach training event I had the opportunity to attend at Dave Ramsey’s office in Nashville.

“It’s hard to be hateful when you’re grateful.”

We’re a couple of months away from Thanksgiving.

We’re in the midst of an interesting time in our history…you know that as well as I do.

“It’s hard to be hateful when you’re grateful.”

We’re tempted to point fingers and accuse others and blame them and whoops suddenly we’ve made them into enemies.

That can change how we see everything. And everybody.

“It’s hard to be hateful when you’re grateful.”

What would happen if you’d take time to do what an old song says and count your blessings, name them one by one?

Can you name just one blessing today?

Pull out your phone and open the Notes and key in that blessing. Or grab a notebook and write down that blessing. Either way, don’t just think about it but actually start a list with that one blessing.

Just one.

See you back here tomorrow.
