All Christians are Ministers, part 5

June 13, 2017

PLEASE NOTE: if you’ve missed Parts 1-4, treat yourself and scroll down to those first.

Here’s a monstrously enormous question that I love:

What opportunities do you have in your everyday life to be in ministry?

I’ll bet it’s not a short list.

It is a short list for some people. I’m sure unfortunately that some who are not ministers by profession go through many days not thinking of how to minister to others. Sorry.

    • Thank you for this, Debbie, and you are exactly on target — waaaaay too many of us Christians sure do “go through many days not thinking of how to minister to others” — we need the occasional nudge or wake up call or call to action, like today’s question from that book with the green cover.

And there’s sure nothing wrong with “a short list” — it’s better to do what we can, where we are, with what we have, than it is to wait for The Big Moment or think we have to Go Somewhere Else first.

      You are quite right.

Like the theme of that green covered book, and this ongoing series of questions from it reminds us, all Christians are ministers. Right here, right now, right where we are with whoever we’re in contact with and wherever we go in the course of our routines.

(And I’m still laughing about that wedding dress you guys told me about!)
