Miranda Lambert, You, & Me

April 4, 2017

“Tell the truth, it’s more interesting,” said one of Miranda Lambert’s producers at this past Sunday night’s award ceremony.

Frank Liddell was onstage and at the mic at Miranda’s request. She stood nearby holding her latest award for Album of the Year.

He said, “In the day and age of sound bites, I just want to thank Miranda for being willing to look deep in her soul and bringing her life into her art.”

“Tell the truth, it’s more interesting” is great advice for all of us, not just songwriters.

As churches are in the season of urging Christians to invite their friends to Lenten and Easter events with them, some try and polish up their testimonies and pretend to be someone they’re not.

“Tell the truth, it’s more interesting.”

Want another reason? “I am the way and the truth and the life,” says Jesus. “No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

“Tell the truth.” Let’s do.

Remember: “It’s more interesting.”
