Number Six: Losing Hope

March 24, 2017

Here in the middle of Lent 2017, it’s my joy to share Ten Reminders for Laypeople…but wow they sure apply to us pastors as well. With gratitude to Linna Bradford who graciously agreed to let me share these with you, here’s number six —

Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, “Relax, Sweetheart, it’s just a bend…. not the end!

— You have stories.

You have commentary.

I know you do.

So…what say ye?

My husband left this fall and at first I was just mad. Now a few months later I realize it has been a be d or maybe a gift. My husband is getting the health care he needs and I am rediscovering and defining me. Although we won’t be getting back together our relationship is better than it has been for a few years. Things are still good just different good not the end but a bend.

  2. Thank you for this, Janet. Love the way you say this: “Things are still good, just different good” — mercy!
