The Bible: It’s Not Ours

March 3, 2017

Marty Duren wrote the following reminders a couple of days ago. Since I’ve ripped this out of context, please note that when he writes “His” he means “God’s” —

It’s his word, not our rhetorical prowess, that is the dynamite to hardened hearts.

His word, not our self-evaluated brilliant insight, is the sword that divides motives from actions.

His word, not our opinion of it, is food for the famished soul.

His word is the cool, refreshing stream in a tiring, fast-paced life.

His word is the foundation of faith for those with ears to hear.

— And just how do you and I view God’s word?

Let’s pick up here tomorrow.

Meanwhile, let’s notice how we regard God’s word.
