Midwives of Another World
Finishing up a three-day run here. If you missed what I wrote Monday and Tuesday, or just want a review, scroll down.
On this fourth day of Advent 2016, I point again to that same source —
We are in a world pregnant with hope, and we live in the expectation of the coming of God’s kingdom on earth.
As we wait, we also work, cry, pray, ache; we are the midwives of another world.
— And maybe right there is where we’ve taken a wrong turn: it’s easier to just wait than to be bothered with all that work, cry, pray, ache stuff.
Where this week is God directing your attention and asking you to work, cry, pray, ache?
I’d love to hear from you, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow
