It Is Called Labor for a Reason
Picking up on this third day of Advent, right where we left off yesterday (scroll down to it if you need a reminder or if you missed it), that same source says this —
This waiting is not a passive waiting.
It is an active waiting.
As any expectant mother knows, this waiting also involves preparation, exercise, nutrition, care, prayer, work; and birth involves pain, blood, tears, joy, release, community.
It is called labor for a reason.
— So! You and I are not called to be spectators here. As followers of Christ, we’re to be very much involved in this Advent.
What are three things you’re doing this week that are signs of your active waiting?
Again, I’d love to hear from you.
See you back here tomorrow!
