It Happened Yesterday Morning
They did it again.
And again.
We were in worship yesterday morning. It was Palm Sunday.
The service had begun with children and our Choir processing in, but that wasn’t it.
The Choir came up the aisle behind them and went to their usual seats.
But they kept going.
Around and around, during the first two songs, they kept coming up the center aisle, across the front, and then up the two side aisles.
Constant motion.
But that wasn’t it.
It happened throughout worship, sometimes during a prayer, or during Pastor Jessica’s sermon. Even during that rare quiet moment between things, they started up again.
One here, one over there. And then another way in the back.
The children of our church spontaneously and excitedly waved their palm branches at seemingly random times in worship, and it was glorious!
What have we as adults lost, that they still have?
