The Golden Goose: trading places, part 2 of 5.
Q. Whom would you trade places with for a day?
A. Nobody. Why would I want somebody else’s life?
—Barbara Corcoran, INC. magazine, April 2013.
From that same interview with Barbara Corcoran comes another great comment: “I used to think the Corcoran Group was my golden goose. Once I sold it, I realized I was the golden goose.”
She’s not interested in exchanging lives with anybody else, and she knows her own worth.
Let’s compare that to — wait, what’s that song in the background here? Sounds like Jamaican reggae. Sounds like Bob Marley. Sounds like him singing, “Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?”
Good question, Bob. We know how Ms. Corcoran would answer.
How would you answer that song’s question: “Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?”
