Quoting Matt, with his permission: “He’s More Than My Dad”

June 17, 2012
The best memory I can think of about my dad is the day I realized that he was not just my dad. He had become so much more.
He became my best friend. A man that I could ask for advice. A man who would give me his advice whether I was ready to hear it or not. A friend who has sat with me on my darkest days and celebrated the best of days with me.
I look forward to the many years ahead learning from him, laughing with him, and enjoying the time we have together.
Thank you for never giving up on me, and working as hard as you did when I tried to give up on you.
You truly are a remarkable man that I am honored to have in my life. —Matthew Truesdell.
