The End of the Beginning

April 15, 2012

He was speaking to British troops, but those words apply to us.

They were in the midst of the Second World War, but those words apply to us.

We are on this side of that first Easter, and those words apply to us.

We are on this side of the Resurrection, and those words apply to us.

What Winston Churchill said was this: “Now this is not the end.  It is is not even the beginning of the end.  But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”

Those words apply to us.

Those words apply to us, because it’s time we took that Resurrection thing seriously.

Those words apply to us, so what difference will we let the Resurrection make this week?

Feel free to leave a comment, and I’ll see you back here soon.
